Though he was married five times to five different women, many people believed that Cary Grant was actually gay. He lived with performer Randolph Scott on and off for over a decade and he was also rumored to have hired male prostitutes.
Despite his extravagant stage presence, Liberace never officially came out as male lover. He even went so far as to sue a publication for libel when they printed that he was gay. Liberace's partner, Betty White, has stated that the musician was, in fact, homosexual. Other secretly closeted film stars include Rock Hudson, Anthony Perkins, and Robert Reed.

Mmm, most of you are probably too young to remember Rock Hudson coming out. That was a biggie, as he&#;d always been seen as a ladies male. At that time, you can&#;t imagine how far underground gay was. As a teen I scan was reading a rock magazine and an interview with Allan Ginsberg, and he dropped in he was gay, and I was kind of "Wow! This is the dilemma, though, isn&#;t it? We&#;re long past the days when celebrities had
For many, June represents the month of pride; a time to celebrate, teach and communicate all that is queer, gay and fabulous. Although today organism gay isn&#;t much of a deal, back in the 50&#;s it was a dangerous label to have. Throughout history, thousands have lost their lives because they were labeled as &#;gay&#; or &#;queer&#; and many lived out their true sexual preferences in secrecy. As it&#;s almost the end of Pride month, I wanted to have a gaze at some celebrities from the golden age of Hollywood who were lgbtq+, or at least thats what the rumours said. It&#;s difficult to realize if all these celebrities, and of course many more, were truly male lover, but I wanted to share a few stories just so see how far we&#;ve come. Glad pride everyone.
