Coldplay's Chris Martin has come clean about his homophobic past in a recent interview.
On Tuesday (December 3), Rolling Stone published the video discussion with the pop crooner, 42, who has been a vocal LGBTQ alley for years, where it sees him admit that he was "very homophobic" as a boy growing up in England. "When I went to boarding school I walked a bit funny and I bounced a bit and I was also very homophobic because I was like, 'If I'm gay, I'm completely f**ked for eternity' and I was a kid finding sexuality," he told magazine founder and editorial director Jann S. Wenner. "'Maybe I'm gay, maybe I'm this, maybe I’m that, I can't be this.'"

Coldplay's Chris Martin is entity frank about his childhood struggles.
In an interview with Rolling Stone published on Tuesday, Martin shared he went through a rugged time as a teen because he didn't fit in with the boys at his boarding school.
"I don't know, I was just going through some stuff with religion and sexuality and everything … like most kids at that age," Coldplay's frontman said.
In explaining his connection with religion, Martin revealed he struggled with his sexuality for a bit when he was younger.
"When I went to boarding school, I walked a bit funny and I bounced a bit and I was also very homophobic because I was like, 'If I’m same-sex attracted, I’m completely (expletive) for eternity,' and I was a kid like discovering sexuality," Martin said. "I was terrified."

Chris Martin has been a vocal LGBTQ ally for years, but in a new interview with Rolling Stone the Coldplay frontman admitted that he went through a phase of feeling "very homophobic" in regard to his own sexuality during his youth, thanks in part to religion.
"When I went to boarding school, I walked a bit funny and I bounced a bit and I was also very homophobic because I was like, 'If Im lgbtq+, Im completely f**ked for eternity' and I was a kid finding sexuality," he recalled. " [I thought,] 'Maybe Im gay, maybe Im this, maybe Im that, I cant be this.'"
At the moment, he remembered thinking "I don't understand [if I'm gay] and even if I am, I can't be because it's wrong If I am, I can't be,'" which caused him "terrible turmoil."
