There are some key Bible verses about homosexuality to know the biblical view of gay relations. The most commonly quoted Bible verses are Leviticus and Leviticus , which state that it is an abomination for a male to lie with another man as he would with a woman. In Romans , Apostle Paul says that homosexuality is reverse to God's instinctive order and results from rejecting God. The relationship of homosexuality to Christianity is one of the main topics of discussion in our culture today. In the fall of last year I wrote a review of books by Wesley Hill and Sam Allberry that take the historic Christian view, in Hill’s words: “that homosexuality was not God’s original imaginative intention for humanity and therefore that homosexual rehearse goes against God’s state will for all human beings, especially those who trust in Christ.”

The Bible is consistent through both Old and Unused Testaments in confirming that homosexuality is sin (Genesis –13; Leviticus ; ; Romans –27; 1 Corinthians ; 1 Timothy ; Jude ). In this matter, the New Testament reinforces what the Old Testament had declared since the Law was given to Moses (Leviticus ). The difference between the Old and New Testaments is that the New Testament offers hope and restoration to those caught up in the sin of homosexualitythrough the redeeming power of Jesus. It is the same pray that is offered to anyone who chooses to accept it (John ; –18).

The Bible is unequivocal on the question of homosexual sex. First, men sleeping with men is prohibited in the Jewish law (e.g., Lev. ; ). This does not prove the case for Christians. Many Old Testament laws are specifically declared not binding in the New Testament (for example, food restrictions). But the logic of opposite sex marriage and the prohibition on homosexual sex are reaffirmed multiple times.1
