As part of our ongoing pledge to support the LGBTQ+ community, we’re hosting a month-long series of celebrations that will also raise funds for The Trevor Proposal, the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention corporation for LGBTQ youth.
We believe that everyone should be able to detect communities of endorse , break down barriers, transcend borders and come together around shared interests and passions. The Diverse community is one of the cornerstone communities to possess found acceptance, visibility and a place on YouTube, and have been a vital part of making YouTube what it is today.

What is LGBT Pride Month?
The month is meant to recognize the sweeping impact that LGBT individuals, advocates and allies have on history in the United States and around the globe, according to the Library of Congress
When is it?
LGBT Pride Month is noted every year in June.
The month of June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the riots held by members of the LGBT community against a police raid that took place at the Stonewall Inn in New York City on June 28,
The so-called Stonewall riots were a "tipping point" for the gay liberation movement in the United States, according to the Library of Congress. The uproar also paved the way for the modern struggle for LGBT rights.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 4, ) — June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual person, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month. Celebrated nationally in the United States, Celebration Month traces back to the Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan — a tipping point that changed LGBTQ* activism and the male lover rights liberation movement in the U.S.
“Each summer, Self-acceptance is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of identities, experiences and histories in the LGBTQ* group and recognize all who have and continue to advocate for LGBTQ* lives, rights and visibility,” said Rayne Parker, assistant director of the Office of LGBTQ* Resources. “As with other recognition months, this is an opportunity to highlight LGBTQ* pride and advocacy and should endure to be recognized all year long.”
The Office of LGBTQ* Resources, housed in the Dinkle-Mas Suite in the Gatton Student Center, will be celebrating Pride first stage next week.
