Lilly Singh talks bisexuality and queerness in the Indian community during monologue
Late bedtime host Lilly Singh fired back at those who say she talks about her bisexuality too much in a personal monologue last night.
“Since I started this show, I’ve had a lot of people online say things favor, ‘Why does she converse so much about entity a bisexual woman of color?’” Singh said. “First of all, I communicate about my dog and The Rock way more, so get your truth straight, okay? Facts.”
Singh, who hosts “A Little Overdue With Lilly Singh,” came out as bisexual on Twitter in February A month later, she announced that she would be hosting a late blackout show, making her the only woman and only openly LGBTQ person hosting a late-night broadcast television show.
“A Little Late With Lilly Singh” airs on NBC, which is owned by NBC News’ parent company, NBCUniversal.
In her monologue, Singh also addressed organism queer and Indian. She said there is a lot of homophobia in the Indian community, and that before she came out, there were people in her community who just didn’t understand LGBTQ issues.

Mumbai: YouTube star Lilly Singh professionally known as Superwoman, recently opened up on her parents' reaction when she came out of the closet with regards to her sexual orientation. Lilly came out to her parents at the age of 30 as a bisexual. She recollects the incident as filled with anxiety and disappointment.
Reminiscing the equal in her audiobook 'Be a Triangle', she shares the insight: "At the age of 30, I came out as multi-attracted to my family. It was definitely the hardest thing I've ever done in my existence, and the lead-up to that moment was filled with anxiety. Out of fear that I would lose my words, I wrote my parents a letter, printed it out, and placed it in front of them. The only thing I can recall is that I was disappointed."

YouTuber Lilly Singh has come out as bisexual in a tweet that celebrates her sexuality, race and gender.
She tweeted: "Female, coloured, bisexual" to her million Twitter followers and received a gigantic outpouring of support from fans.
"Throughout my life these have proven to be obstacles from time to time. But now I'm fully embracing them as my superpowers," she wrote.
"No matter how many 'boxes' you check, I motivate you to do the same."
Lilly has a vast following online, with almost 15 million subscribers to her YouTube channel - which she describes as "comedy, inspiration, good vibes".
