There is a possibility I might be moving to Fort Worth for a job.

1. Is Fort Worth gay-friendly?

2. What areas are suitable to live in (including nearby suburbs)

3. Would it be better to live in Fort Worth, or Arlington, because of the gay-friendliness (so I would be closer to Dallas?)

Hmmm . . . the Dallas-Fort Worth area is considered to be part of the "Bible-Belt" region of the south, so both major metropolitan areas have significant populations of definite opinion on private lifestyles. . . I really can't say whether there's a big difference in 'friendliness' of Arlington vs. or not . . . Tough scrutinize . . . My predict would be Arlington, but it is strictly a guess. Nothing more. Sorry. I lived in the DFW area for 16+ years, but don't have a finite answer for you. Hopefully ther

Could it also be that there might be more of a general acceptance of the lifestyle now so that they don't HAVE to go to "gay" bars? I intend, surely we hold gotten to a point here in FW where there are plenty of urban destinations where a gay couple can go out to dinner without being singled out and pointed at. Perhaps this is why the same-sex attracted community is so hard to discover, they are just part of the community, not necessarily separate. We perform have excellent society, excellent restaurants, an excellent downtown, marvelous housing options, and excellent parks, so why wouldn't they be here?

I'm sure you'll find gays at all those places. The article was referring to gay ghettos which gay bars and clubs have historically served as the centerpiece. And from what I've seen gay bars are usually have plenty of gays in them so they must still adore them. (How many bars and nightclubs do you realize that have been open for almost 30 years?). But of course not all gays travel to bars
