Animated gay cartoons

I don&#;t know about you, but I&#;ve been tearing up about The Owl House series finale for almost a full week now. In a good way, because it was a flawless sendoff. And also in a sad way, because it&#;s over. If you&#;re feeling the similar way, maybe you could operate a little list of other animated series to check out while your heart mends? Below I&#;ve chosen 15 of my all-time favorite queer cartoons! Please share yours in the comments!

It's Pride Month and I want to talk about some gay cartoons! I want to discuss about some older or less trendy stuff. As much as I passion Steven Universe and Adventure Time, they have already been talked about to death. Shows with gay characters or gay themes will be included. I'll also include shows with gay vibes. Shows that feel gay, but own no confirmed Homosexual characters. We're diving into gay leader canon! I'll also be including anime because I desire to.

I also haven't seen every queer cartoon ever made. Some gay cartoons I've seen won't be included on the list because I just don't want to discuss about them. I want to highlight on the nice stuff. Not all of these shows are prefect with their representation, a lot of them are pretty antique, but I uncover them to be overall positive and good cartoons for both people in and out of the LGBTQ+ group. If I left out any dense hitters feel free to tell me! Let's get started!

So we had the ladies last week, now it&#;s the guys&#; turn. Call me biased but, while composing the girls&#; list was entertaining from beginning to complete, this list made me feel&#; nostalgic. All these guys mean a lot to me, because I grew up with them. I loved or hated them even before knowing what &#;gay&#; meant; and needed no one to out them for me. And most likely, neither did you. Just in case you&#;ve been living under a rock for the last 60 years (or your gaydar is more useless than mine) here is another arbitrary list of gay cartoon characters.

Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson (Batman & Robin)

A classic couple. Even those in hardcore denial contain a difficult time explaining why a millionaire bachelor keeps a bouncy acrobat as a sidekick, despite not having any discernible talent. You have to imagine Robin complaining to batman a la &#;I Love Lucy&#;: Bruce why can&#;t I be on the show? Bruce why can&#;t I be on the show? All right, all right, you can be a superhero too, now shut up and give me some sugar.

Batgirl? She&#;s just an annoying third wheel

Gay Cartoon Characters

I ran across this.

We created the first-ever searchable database of LGBTQ characters in

TV shows such as ‘Steven Universe,’ ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power,’ and ‘Craig of the Creek’ are leading the way with the most LGBTQ characters in children's animation.

Supposedly an exhaustive list of “gay” cartoon characters. (I operate “gay” as shorthand for LGBTQ+ because I dislike acronyms.) Some of these characters are pretty insignificant and some of these cartoons I’ve seen and had no idea the character was gay. Still, it might be a pretty good guide. I was able to scroll through and see what shows were listed that my kids have watched and see which characters and how major they are.

I would say, though, looking at our population - Going forward, probably anything made past is going to be highly suspect unless specifically Christian.

Some of these characters are pretty minor and some of these cartoons I’ve seen and had no idea the nature was gay.

Thanks for posting this.
