THIS is the image of a man police are hunting in connection with a sexual assault in Accrington's Arndale Centre.

The incident took place at around 2pm on 6 July in the shopping centre's public toilets.

It is thought the man was already in the toilet when the victim - another man - walked in.

Detective Constable Mark Postlethwaite said: "The man in the picture may contain some vital information to help with our investigation.

"The victim, a year-old bloke, was left extremely shaken by the incident and it is important that we identify the person responsible for the assault as soon as possible."

Since the assault police include been trying to path down anyone who can give them information about what took place and believe the man pictured may be able to help with their inquiries.

The offender has been described as aged between 55 and 60, 5ft 6ins tall, of slim develop but with a protruding belly, with short grey thinning hair.

He spoke with a local accent.
